Content Specialist

Kickstart your career in social media management with Penna Powers! We’re hiring a full-time, entry-level Content Specialist! 

Responsibilities 


  • Work with other content team members, creatives, and account managers to develop content plans for various clients.
  • Create organic content for social media, blogs, email, etc., based on client goals, key messages, and target audiences.  
  • Post, edit, monitor, and report on organic social media content for various clients.
  • Monitor online communities, engage, and respond to questions and comments in a timely manner.
  • Follow trends and new developments in social media, proposing ideas for implementation when appropriate. 
  • This is an in-person or hybrid position which requires at least 3 days in-office per week. Requires the ability to provide your own transportation to nearby locations for photo shoots (mileage reimbursed according to company policy). 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication or a relevant field
  • Up to 3 years of experience working in social media (minimum requirement: internship in social media) 
  • Working knowledge of major social media channels (posting, editing, engaging with communities, analytics, etc.)
  • Strong writing skills: grammar, spelling, and editing 
  • Professional, organized, and skilled at interpersonal communication
  • Not required, but preferred:
    • Social media certifications
    • Knowledge of relevant programs (Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva, etc.), WordPress, SEO, Mailchimp
    • Photography/videography skills
    • Experience with government, non-profit, or other non-retail social media profiles
