Traffic fatalities are a leading cause of death in the U.S., and Utah is not immune to the consequences of dangerous decisions behind the wheel. Utah’s traffic safety goal is zero fatalities in every community. Digital and mass media help raise awareness of traffic safety issues. Outreach efforts take safety education further by allowing for one-on-one interactions and experiences.
Penna Powers created the Zero Fatalities outreach program in partnership with the Utah Departments of Transportation and Public Safety. Our team connects directly with the community through events and interactive presentations. We work with schools, businesses, health departments, and community leaders. We engage K-12 students, parents, and employees face-to-face. Our approach is localized, data-driven, and designed to directly influence behavior on a personal, human level.
