The Challenge
Get rich quick, crypto and ponzi schemes, phishing scams, real estate investments and construction frauds are on the rise in Utah. Fraudsters were preying on Utahns enticing them with fast, high-yield returns on their cash investments to quick and cheap driveway pours and promises of romance for merely the cost of a plane ticket were rampant and Utahns weren’t sure about where to turn to help protect themselves.
The Solution
Enter “The Knights of Scamlot” that reached both English and Spanish-speaking Utahns to help them defend themselves against fraudulent ne’er-do-wells. A mix of communication channels (mass media, social media, digital & outdoor advertising) educated Utahns about the most common scams and drove them to Scams.Utah.gov as the trusted resource to help protect themselv
