Responsibilities
- Assist managers and strategists in developing media relations strategy, implementation and other activities for assigned accounts.
- Provide input on media relations planning and executions, with a particular emphasis on local media relations – leading out on media events, writing talking points, news advisories and releases, etc.
- Assist account managers/team leads across all departments and within the PR department to structure media relations strategies for agency clients including pitching, coordinating interviews, gathering media coverage, etc.
- Participate and contribute ideas, best practices, strategies and recommendations in planning and project meetings.
- Manage time allocation to keep within budget allocations on assigned accounts.
Requirements
- Educational background in public relations preferred, background in general communications or marketing also acceptable.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as presentation skills
- Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize proactively and ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Solid computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Interest in communicating a brand narrative
- Curious, open-minded and willing to learn
